Hi. Here’s a new Detective Sloth comic! Fourth of July coming up! Yes, although sloths hail from Central and South America, Detective Sloth calls the USA home, and plans on gettin’ his groove on and chillin’ out for his country’s birthday. Hope everybody has a good holiday! Next week Sloth goes on a dinner date!
Hey guys! This week’s comic features the introduction of two new major characters, Doyle, the rookie, and The Dolphin, the city’s most mysterious crime lord. These two guys are going to figure in to Sloth’s continuing adventures in a big way, so keep your eyes peeled! Next week we’ll see how Detective Sloth handles hostage situations! Until then, keep on keeping on, good people of the internet!
Hey guys, here’s the intro to Bug, the computer specialist, and a look at Detective Sloth’s difficulties with computers. I, like many others, always find it entertaining when crime shows use the old “enhance” trick to smooth the plot out, admittedly most often in the interest of time. I’ve been working on a major story arc for Sloth, and things are going to get pretty crazy in the world of DS soon! Stay tuned for next week, which features our first mention of Sloth’s archnemesis, The Dolphin! Until then, sloths. I leave you with this:
Here’s Sloth’s not-so-secret origin story. Not much action here, but I’m sure most of you guys are wondering how a sloth came to be a big city detective… nevermind how a sloth came to walk and talk and be 3 and a half feet tall. Anyway, McNulty’s Bar is named for the main character of ‘The Wire,’ arguably the best police television show to ever air. If you haven’t seen it, go grab the box set. The other bit of trivia is that Sloth is indeed using a CheyTac M200, or “Intervention” to all you Call of Duty players. These are things I would care about if I was reading this comic, but I doubt anyone else will (I just like trivia, ok?). Next week we have another riff on police tv shows, as well as the introduction of the department’s computer expert, so stay tuned! Oh! One more thing! Let me know if you guys want DS stickers! I’ve been trying to think of ways to get the word out more effectively, and only wish I had more time… ah, well, if wishes were horses, I guess. In any case, until next Sunday, onwards and upwards!
Another Sunday, another Detective Sloth! Yes, his television is upside-down, because he prefers to hang out while watching TV (and of course, his hat always stays on, no matter what). It’s been an interesting week, looking forward to the Game of Thrones finale in a little bit. Sorry if I offended any indie fashion blog editors (not really). Next week we get a little backstory on Sloth himself, and learn a little more about why he’s so awesome. In the meantime, I’ll leave you guys with what I would like to believe is just a video of Detective Sloth in his free time:
Yup. I stumbled across that this weekend, and it may have just become my new favorite YouTube video ever. See you guys next week!
Today we have a very special super-sized Memorial Day weekend Detective Sloth! This strip introduces the Captain, as well as shows off Sloth’s interrogation skills. They always break under his icy stare and his incisive questioning, and our hero always gets the answers he needs. Next week Sloth must race to stop a bomb plot, so stay tuned! I’m kind of planning on putting a Sloth reference or pun into every title of every comic, so if you have any suggestions, let me know!
BOOM. Detective Sloth is back in action punching psychotic old ladies in the face! This episode features Sloth in all of his badge-bearing glory, as well as an introduction to a recurring character, Vivienne. More on the way next Sunday as Sloth finally gets to the station to interrogate the suspect mentioned in DS #1!
Hello good people of the internet! This is the inaugural episode of the spectacular adventures of the one and only Detective Sloth! In our first look at our (slowly) dashing hero, Sloth has a bit of trouble with traffic. If you dig these slothy exploits, be sure to leave a comment below, like Detective Sloth’s page on Facebook, or shoot me a tweet on the left! I’m going to be updating with a new comic every Sunday, so tune in each week for some brand new slothiness!
