Reach Versus Speed

Brendan : April 7, 2013 10:07 PM : Blog, Comic

Hey guys! This is continued from DS #46! Here’s some of Sloth being a total badass, and even Bug is getting in on the action! Now Sloth has a prisoner… but what will it take to make him talk? Anyway, the support I’ve been getting from you guys recently has been mind-blowing. Thanks to everyone who has ever even glimpsed this page! I’ll catch you guys next week, as usual, like that bar on the left to join the Sloth Empire and get weekly updates! I just made up the Sloth Empire. Just now.

Sloth Surveillance

Brendan : March 31, 2013 5:23 PM : Blog, Comic

Hey guys! Here’s the start of a new arc and a continuation of the main storyline. I feel like that last panel is one of the most surreal things I’ve ever drawn. Anyways, we’re heading into a lot more Sloth vs. ninja action, so get ready! Oh yeah, Happy Easter! If you don’t celebrate Easter, happy Sunday, and go eat some chocolate anyway! I’ll catch you guys next week. Remember to hit those like buttons, it’s helping a ton! Last month was huge, and I have a good feeling about April. Thanks again for taking a look!

Community Outreach

Brendan : March 24, 2013 11:30 PM : Blog, Comic

Hey guys! Here’s Sloth being a valued part of the community and taking a day out to talk to some kids! Sloth hates kids! I think the backstory behind his dislike for kids is that they always comment on how cute and furry he is and it makes him self-conscious. Anyway, hello to all the new fans out there! DS has had a mini-blow up over the past couple of weeks and I’m really digging it. Thanks for checking out the comic, as always, and keep smackin’ that like button on the left for weekly updates and more! Catch you guys next week!

Mimehunter

Brendan : March 17, 2013 10:41 PM : Blog, Comic

Hey guys! Sloth continues his preparations for further mime battle this week. We’re getting on into full blown absurdism at this point, and I think I might just continue to charge ahead. Anyway, it seemed appropriate that DS would be rockin’ his .44 in episode number 44. Of course, he knows it should always be used as a last resort… so we’ll see what happens! Side note: I’m no kind of gun nut, but the idea of sloths firing large weapons makes me chuckle. Anyways, catch you next week!

The Sloth Workout

Brendan : March 10, 2013 9:51 PM : Blog, Comic

Sloth thinks he needs to speed up to take down some ninjas, but Sloths don’t work out. Duh. I guess he’ll just have to use his brains to take them down… or guns. Anyway, catch you guys next week! I think I might go into a couple of random one-shots instead of continuing this main story line for a little bit. Who knows. I guess we’ll see together! Until then! Oh yeah! Remember to like this business on the left if you dig the comic and want to stay updated, it helps out a lot!

The Sound Of Silence

Brendan : March 3, 2013 8:15 PM : Blog, Comic

Hello fellow sloths! Shorter comic this week because I’ve been ridiculously busy. Don’t worry though, I think there will be more comics like #41 on the way soon! You know, here we just have the normal everyday conversation between a talking dolphin and a group of ninja mimes. Nothing too out of the ordinary. I guess we’re at #42… anyone that thought this comic would be the answer to life, the universe, and everything, I’m sorry to disappoint you. I think it’s OK though. As always, LIKE this jam in the sidebar on the left! Anyway, catch you next week!

Le Silence

Brendan : February 24, 2013 10:16 PM : Blog, Comic

CONTINUED FROM DS #40! Hi guys! This one was a real beast. I thought I might’ve bitten off more than I could chew with the art on this one, but I think I did a pretty good job of going above and beyond what I normally put out. This is a damn long comic for one week, and I’m proud of it. Anyways, looks like the Dolphin’s got a new hit team! They’re going to be another rival for our hero. I’m not sure if the concept of ninja mimes is too original (I don’t remember seeing it anywhere, but I can’t have been the only one who has thought of it). Silent and deadly! We’re going to have to see how DS overcomes his speed limitations to fight such foes! Side note: sorry if this comic doesn’t load properly on Apple mobile devices, I know they have some weird restrictions on image sizes they can display. Anyways, I’ll catch up with you dudes next week!

Sloth N John

Brendan : February 17, 2013 8:35 PM : Blog, Comic

CONTINUED FROM DS #39: Looks like Medium John is going to become something of an ally after all! As you might be able to tell if you’ve been following this comic for a little while, I’m not such a big fan of repeating frames, but sometimes it’s required. Sorry for not having too much action in the past few weeks, I’m looking to rectify that with next week’s comic, which introduces a few new frightening characters in the employ of The Dolphin! Catch you next week!

Ski Free

Brendan : February 10, 2013 4:50 PM : Blog, Comic

What’s shakin’ bacon pancakes! Sloth is back and verbally throwing down! I didn’t really know what to call this one, so I just slapped “Ski Free” on there, after the game that Sloth is playing on the computer. I don’t know if a lot of you guys are even old enough to remember Ski Free, but eh. There it is. I didg the idea that my jokes are intentionally terrible, but Sloth is entirely earnest in his dorkiness. Hopefully that makes some kind of sense. Anyways, catch you guys next week with the aftermath of this arrest!

Detective Sloth: Origins

Brendan : February 3, 2013 5:44 PM : Blog, Comic

Hello good people of the internet! This week’s comic is a bit of a microcosm of one of the mission parameters I had in my head when I started this thing: toe the line between cuteness and badassery. I think sloths are uniquely qualified to fulfill this goal. Hope you guys dig little Sloth, I think he’s kinda cute. We might be seeing more of him in the future (Young Sloth Adventures?). It was actually more difficult than you’d imagine to make a younger and slightly older looking version of the stylized sloths I draw, mostly because they don’t have all that much detail and most of the markers that we associate with age on humans don’t really exist on sloths. Oh well. In other news, we’re building steam! Like DS on the left for weekly updates and other random ramblings. Also, I’m planning on actually starting to use that Twitter! Until next week!
